Mission:
The mission of the Chelsea Fire Department is to provide optimum protection to life and property for the citizens of Chelsea against the ravages of fires, medical emergencies, hazardous incidents and other dangerous conditions related to the Fire Department. The traditional goals of the Chelsea Fire Department are: to prevent fires from starting, to prevent loss of life and property when fires start, to confine fire to the place where it started, and to extinguish fires. The Fire Department is comprised of the following four divisions: Fire Suppression (including mutual aid to adjacent communities), Emergency Medical Response, Fire Prevention, and Hazardous Material Control.
